REMEMBERING YOUR APPOINTMENT DATE AND TIME AND LOCATION
Please make a record of your appointment date, time (and location) when it is agreed upon. Ms.Lewis' time is better spent at the massage table serving clients present, rather than engaging in reminder calls and texts, confirmations and directions. Therefore, please have no expectation of a reminder call or text, and messages received by EarthTouch Healing Arts requesting confirmations or inquiries about appointments already made (but not written down or remembered by client) can seldom be timely returned (if at all) due to operational necessity. If a reminder text or call is received by you from EarthTouch Healing Arts it is a professional courtesy that Ms. Lewis had rare time for and such present or future reminders or confirmations must not be relied upon regarding keeping your appointment which becomes your obligation once the appointment is made.
EarthTouch Healing Arts will generally wait 15 minutes for late appointments. Appointments arriving later than 15 minutes FOR ANY REASON cannot be accommodated,
Aleasha appreciates a timely update by phone or text regarding the potential for lateness (fee for service will remain unchanged). EarthTouch Healing Arts reserves the right to reschedule late arrivals, shorten a session accordingly, or terminate the client relationship.
A health intake form and signature for consent to treat must be completed by the client at the time of initial service before massage therapy is rendered. Such a form and any necessary or recommended discussion it may spark relative to how massage can or cannot proceed is the most critical part of receiving massage in order to assure how to best and safely meet client's health and relaxation needs. Health intake informs treatment possibility and methods best used (if treatment is advised) based on information provided by client or client's authorized representative. Clinical expertise and safety always takes precedence over client preferences, although every effort will be made to accommodate such preferences, when possible. Health intakes also must be updated when any of client's health information significantly changes and/or at any time at the request of EarthTouch Healing Arts. Client is responsible for providing updated contact and health information where appropriate. A parent or guardian must be present, provide health information for (or in conjunction with) a minor and must sign for anyone under the age of 18 (or for those who are unable to provide health information and/or consent to treatment with a signature due to cognitive or other disability).
HEALTH INTAKES ARE REQUIRED BY LAW AND ARE CONSIDERED PART OF THE FIRST SESSION. THEY ARE ALSO PART OF MS. LEWIS' CLINICAL ASSESSMENT AND EXPERTISE IN MASSAGE THERAPY AND THEREFORE ARE COUNTED TOWARDS THE FIRST SESSION TIME IN ORDER TO EXPERTLY TREAT THE CLIENT. However, such intakes need only be done once unless otherwise indicated (see above) and at any time EarthTouch Healing Arts requests an updated intake be provided. Ms. Lewis is interested in helping you solve your problem and health intakes and any resultant discussion (or follow-up discussion at first or other sessions) is part of skilled consultation, assessment and treatment. Aleasha Lewis and EarthTouch Healing Arts appreciate your understanding of the importance of this required professional procedure.
MISSED / LATE APPOINTMENTS, NO-SHOWS and CANCELLATIONS
EarthTouch Healing Arts strives to well serve you on your healing path, and in the spirit of mutual respect. Ms. Lewis values her time with you - and trusts you will do the same.
Cancellations within less than 24 hours of your appointment and missed appointments do not allow Ms. Lewis enough time to arrange to see other clients who may otherwise have been assisted during the time your appointment remained vacant.
Appointments cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time will not incur a cancellation fee, or future pre-payment requirement. Timely cancellations and/or reschedules considered to be excessive by EarthTouch Healing Arts may result in termination of client relationship.
EarthTouch Healing Arts may require a missed appointment fee of up to the full cost of the service for appointments not kept (no-show), which are cancelled within less than 24 hours of scheduled appointment, and/or for appointments which are cancelled by EarthTouch Healing Arts for arrivals which occur after the 15-minutes-late window.
NOTE: If more than one appointment is made by one individual for 2 or more individuals for the same day and the first appointment is a no-call no-show, all other appointments made by that person (for others) for that day will also be considered no-call no-shows and none of the individuals will be seen - with the no-call no-show policy applying to all parties booked by the individual (regardless of whose name first appears on the schedule).
MISSED / LATE or LATE CANCEL APPOINTMENTS ON GIFT CERTIFICATES (commensurate with the cost of the session missed) will be considered forfeited.
SOCIAL MEDIA COUPONS intended to be used for a session that is not timely cancelled or rescheduled (whether or not given or reassigned to someone else), or for which arrival is more than 15 minutes late, will lose promotional value.
Social media coupons may be (and usually are) redeemed by EarthTouch Healing Arts at the time of booking in order to reserve the appointment (and/or may be redeemed at any time after booking according to the operational needs of EarthTouch Healing Arts) and such appointments are treated in accordance with the no-call, no-show, late and late cancel policy.
EARTHTOUCH HEALING ARTS MUST BE INFORMED WHEN BOOKING IF YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA COUPON IS EXPIRED AT THE TIME YOU CALL TO BOOK THE APPOINTMENT OR IF IT WILL BE EXPIRED AT THE TIME OF THE APPOINTMENT THAT YOU RECEIVE.
EarthTouch Healing Arts is not responsible for accommodating clients whose social media coupon is about to expire if appointments are not otherwise available. EarthTouch Healing Arts will however, make every reasonable effort to accommodate expiring social media coupons but cannot guarantee an appointment by the promotional value expiration date.
Note: Only ONE social media coupon can be purchased per person to be used by the purchaser. EVER. Gifted social media coupons cannot be redeemed by the purchaser, if purchaser has already used a social media coupon, or plans to use one in the future..
EarthTouch Healing Arts has an introductory rate which matches the NON-SALE price of its social media campaign and potential clients may us PAY THIS PRICE IN PERSON DIRECTLY TO EARTHTOUCH HEALING ARTS at the time of a pre-booked appointment. The Gift Certificate button in this page may be used to gift such a session.
Also, those who purchase an introductory rate massage though social media, this website or in person, as a first-time client, are permitted to come back for TWO MORE SESSIONS at the introductory rate! If the session being purchased is a gift - the gift recipient is permitted to return TWICE MORE for the introductory rate!
EarthTouch Healing Arts also has packages (depending upon availability) (which must be prepaid) that are discounted to nearly the introductory rate! Packages may be shared and al policies apply to all individuals using the package.
A package does not have to be purchased in order to come a total of 3 times for the introductory rate (whether the initial session is purchased through social media or through EarthTouch Healing Arts (preferred) -- and offers of three introductory rate sessions may be combined with packages for a discount of many hundreds of dollars off of individually purchased sessions at the regular price!
PLEASE NOTE - the EXTRA TWO APPOINTMENTS at the introductory rate (if a social media coupon is used the first time) (and prepaid packages) can only be purchased through EarthTouch Healing Arts and may not be purchased via social media coupons. If the initial appointment is not made using a social media coupon, a total of THREE appointments may be made (one at a time) per individual at the introductory rate.
PREPAID APPOINTMENTS not cancelled, rescheduled or timely arrived at according policies herein (whether or not part of a package) may be considered forfeited in the amount of the missed / late arrived at session.
Prepaid sessions (purchased through EarthTouch Healing Arts) and packages (only available through EarthTouch Healing Arts) are not refundable (see below for more detailed information). Prepaid sessions and packages may be gifted and/or shared. Packages may be split among others. Gift certificates, prepaid sessions and packages have a 5-year expiration date from the date of purchase (not date of presentation) and all policies herein apply. Appointments made and/or the purchase of services implies that these policies are understood and compliance is agreed.
Missed appointments (no-shows), late cancels or 15-minutes late arrivals may require pre-payment for future bookings and possible termination as a client as early as the first time this happens. Such professional discourtesies are deleterious to small businesses and impact not only the business and practitioner, but other clients. please be courteous and arrive for your appointment, and at the appointed time.
MORE ABOUT PACKAGES
The following terms and conditions apply to packages for services rendered or intended to be rendered by
Aleasha Lewis and EarthTouch Healing Arts:
Packages (availability is not guaranteed) are deeply discounted and as such are payable
in full, in advance (unless other special and exceptional arrangements are agreed to and signed off
on by EarthTouch Healing Arts).
or any portion thereof, used or unused ARE
NOT REFUNDABLE, FOR ANY REASON, EVER, including if a client is terminated for cause
by EarthTouch Healing Arts
Some but not all reasons for which a client may be terminated for cause
include but are not limited to: sexual
advances; failure to follow proper draping rules; a physical or mental health
condition which arises which makes massage (or any other service)
contraindicated (this is determined solely by Aleasha Lewis and EarthTouch
Healing Arts); being under the influence or suspected influence of drugs or alcohol during a session;
repeated failure to practice good hygiene (including but not limited to presenting with the smell of cigarette or marijuana smoke upon oneself); disrespectful behavior toward
therapist; repeat frivolous requests or demands, especially those in contravention to established policies or procedures (or reasonably expected professional standards), including but limited more sessions that are late-cancelled and/or for which a
client is a no-call no-show; late arrivals (see above); chronic rescheduling of numerous appointments; incorrect arrival date and/or time and failure to show at scheduled date and time; and deliberate failure to
disclose important health information (including but not limited to pregnancy), refusing to complete a health intake, or submitting false information on a health intake.
(NOTE: Prenatal massages are specialty massages (but not the only kind of specialty massage) and require special training, expertise and equipment (which Aleasha possesses). However, prenatal massages are priced differently (for the reasons above) and if pregnancy occurs after the purchase of a (pre-paid) individual session (not yet completed) or during the course of a purchased package of non-prenatal massages, additional charges will be incurred or the package may be shared with a non-pregnant individual, assigned or resumed post-pregnancy (at the original purchase price).
Packages (or prepaid sessions of any kind) do not guarantee immediate
or rapid availability of an appointment if such desired appointment date and/or
time is not available. Any special appointment availability opened by Ms. Lewis as a professional courtesy (should such an event occur) does not guarantee future specially-opened sessions. IT IS PARTICULARLY IMPERATIVE THAT EVERY EFFORT BE MADE TO TIMELY ATTEND SPECIALLY-OPENED APPOINTMENTS as these are appointment times outside the scope of Ms. Lewis' normal working hours.
or all sessions in a package may be gifted or assigned to one or more persons,
so long as they are eligible for the service (pending a health intake which
must be completed) and if a package (for any reason) is no longer being used and is sold by the original purchaser to another (an option), it may only be sold for the face value paid, or the face value of what is left on the package. Approval must be granted by EarthTouch Healing Arts for such a sale. And all policies will then apply to the new owner of the package.
All EarthTouch Healing Arts’
cancellation and other policies apply to everyone, including no-call no-shows, late cancellations
(less than 24 hours’ notice), late arrivals and arrivals at improper day and time (if actual appointment is not kept) - FOR ANY REASON. While EarthTouch Healing Arts empathizes with the myriad events which can impact one's ability to attend a scheduled appointment, EarthTouch is not in the business of determining which reasons are valid or "worthy", and therefore, the policies herein are applied across-the-board, for any reason, including illness.
Late cancellations, no-call no-shows and late arrivals WILL BE DEBITED FROM THE PACKAGE
and cannot be redeemed.
and all sessions are valid for 5 years.
Any session not used by the end of the 5-year period from the date the
package was purchased is void and non-redeemable
Package prices (and/or any service price quoted for individual or multiple sessions) do not include gratuities (tips) for good service (if so
inclined). Gratuities are standard in the Massage Therapy industry and a reasonable industry standard is 20% (ON ORIGINAL COST OF MASSAGE OR OTHER SERVICE ($85 or more depending upon the service received), rather than 20% of any potentially discounted rate.
special permission is granted by EarthTouch Healing Arts and other arrangements
(other than full payment upfront) are made, and then not kept – the portion of
the package already paid for will no longer be discounted and will revert to
the original full-price cost of the service at the time the arrangement is
breached, and the number of sessions will be reduced accordingly. There will be no refund of any overage which
may not cover a full session. Client may
receive pro-rated services (at the regular rate) for the amount of overage left
in such a case and may make up the difference in fee in order to receive a full
any session (and especially sessions in packages) is/are scheduled in advance
(particularly far in advance), it is understood that intervening variables may
occur for the client or the therapist which may necessitate rescheduling (if
permitted) and that as much advance notice as possible will be given as a
professional courtesy to both client and practitioner.
AVAILABILITY OF SERVICE
scheduled are not contractual and refunds will not be given for appointments
which may need to be moved after they are made.
Aleasha Lewis and EarthTouch Healing Arts is not responsible for interruptions in treatment at EarthTouch due to medical or other conditions which may arise which may delay massage services.
BECAUSE ONE HAS RECEIVED MASSAGE BEFORE FROM EARTHTOUCH HEALING ARTS, OR IN PARTICULAR FROM ANY OTHER PRACTITIONER, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT MASSAGE WILL BE PERFORMED AT EARTHTOUCH HEALING ARTS IF ALEASHA LEWIS DETERMINES THAT PERFORMING MASSAGE (OR CONTINUED MASSAGE) WOULD POTENTIALLY PRESENT WHAT IN THE SOLE DETERMINATION OF MS. LEWIS, MAY BE UNREASONABLE RISK TO THE HEALTH OF THE CLIENT OR POTENTIAL CLIENT - EVEN IF WRITTEN MEDICAL CLEARANCE IS GIVEN BY A PHYSICIAN OR SPECIALIST (AND EVEN IF MEDICAL CLEARANCE IS REQUESTED AND RECEIVED BY ALEASHA LEWIS (IF IT IS LATER DETERMINED BY ALEASHA LEWIS THAT THE RISKS OF MASSAGE MAY OUTWWEIGH THE BENEFITS).
EarthTouch Healing Arts accepts checks as a convenience to its clients. However, should a check be returned for insufficient funds, a $35.00 fee will apply and prepayment by cash or credit card will be required for future sessions. All other policies apply.
PAYMENTS BY CREDIT CARD AND OTHER MEANS
EarthTouch Healing Arts accepts payments by credit card for the convenience of its clients.
While EarthTouch Healing Arts may accept smart phone app-based payments, it does so at its own discretion.
LOST AND FOUND
EarthTouch Healing Arts understands that sometimes, in one's state of pain relief and/or bliss, clients may forget items after leaving their massage. Every effort is made to identify any such items during room preparation by EarthTouch at the end of a session, and immediate contact with client is attempted in an effort to summon them immediately back to the office to retrieve their item(s) (should time permit EarthTouch waiting and subsequent client has not yet arrived).
While EarthTouch Healing Arts has a (public and private) Lost and Found; it bears no responsibility for lost or forgotten items and hopes that you will leave valuable items, like jewelry, safe at home. EarthTouch has an excellent record of reuniting owners with their belongings; but Aleasha and EarthTouch do not wish to remain the holder of your items if it can be avoided.
Some items left at the practice have been: gold jewelry; a 2-carat diamond ring; eyeglasses (never claimed), a key (never claimed); a smart phone, a child's toy; personal water bottles; disposable drinks (always discarded); car keys, bobby pins and countless hair ties (never claimed for obvious reasons).
Please check around the treatment room and office before leaving if there is a possibility you are leaving something behind.
TIPS / GRATUITIES
Listed or stated price of service (whether actual or discounted; whether individual or multi-service sessions or packages) DOES NOT include gratuities (tips) for good service (if so inclined).

While tips are never REQUIRED, the generosity of clients allows prices of services to remain reasonable for most and is a token of appreciation and validation for a job well done; much like one would expect to tip a good waiter, waitress, bartender, hairdresser, barber, nail technician, etc....
